Jimmy Buffett’s new CD titled “Buffet Hotel” (note only one ‘t’ in CD title) is due in stores Dec 8. It’s the first studio album from Buffett since “Take The Weather With You” was released October 10th, 2006. The CD title came from an old combination train station and hotel called the “Buffet Hotel” that Jimmy saw while on a recent trip to the “Festival In The Desert” near Timbuktu, Mali in Africa. The new CD is produced by Coral Reefers Mike Utley and Mac McAnally and contains 12 new songs. Guest artists include Sonny Landreth, Jake Shimabukuro, Cedric Burnside, Steve Lightnin’ Malcolm and Toumani Diabate.

Margaritaville Rum, which was announced in late 2007 and supposed to be in stores in the fall of 2008, is finally being shipped to some locations in mid-Nov 2009. It comes in four flavors: Coconut, Spiced, Silver and Dark. I called two Nashville liquor dealers, Frugal MacDoogal’s and J. Barleycorn’s, on Nov 19th and they said it has not been distributed in middle Tennessee yet but expect it to arrive late Nov or early Dec.
Phins Up ParrotHeads and Happy Holidays Y’all!
